The universe and all its glories declares there is a God.
The universe attests to the presence of God.
The fine-tuning of dark energy is established but what of the laws of physics ie gravity and Einstein’s general relativity( the description of how bodies move in space). How sure can we be about such things?
If you run a red light in South Australia, it is guaranteed that you will receive a $550 fine plus a few bonus points slashed from your license. Cause and effect! Some things in life are guaranteed.
It is said that no other theory of physics has been tested so rigorously than general relativity. Having passed 13 independent experimental tests and countless observations, astronomers Hulse and Taylor were awarded the Nobel prize in physics in 1993 for ten years of research verifying its existence. These laws of physics remain constant throughout cosmic history. So what of it? If these laws are not fixed then the earth would not be able to support life.

The universe is the sign there is a God.
Do we ask for a sign? The universe is all the sign we need.
It reminds me again of Einstein’s quote. “The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.”
When I have my car serviced, gradually over time the timing goes out and I need it serviced again. There are many examples of this in our lives. Shouldn’t we puzzle over why these laws remain constant?
The Bible, one of the world’s holy books, refers to these laws being fixed. Here is one reference. In Jeremiah 33.25 God says “I have …. established my covenant with day and night and fixed the laws of heaven and earth.”
In isolation, some may say this just isn’t enough. While others who are looking at the evidence like Sir Fred Hoyle say “I do not believe that any scientist who examines the evidence would fail to draw the inference that the laws of nuclear physics have been deliberately designed.”
The philosopher Andrew Flew when asked what prompted him to abandon his public advocacy of atheism and acknowledge the Christian God’s existence. He responded by saying,
“It was the revelations from scientific research on the origin of the universe, the fine-tuning of the universe for life, and the origin of life.”
Are there other factors which point to a fine-tuned universe and a personal being? The short answer is yes.
A favourite sleuth, Arthur Doyle Sherlock Holmes, quotes,
“Once you eliminate the impossible whatever remains however improbable must be the truth.”

Jesus is the light of the world. Darkness cannot exist in his presence
